The challenge for Randy’s Saturday Night Genealogy Fun is to list 16 great-great-grandparents:
- List your 16 great-great-grandparents in pedigree chart order. List their birth and death years and places.
- Figure out the dominant ethnicity or nationality of each of them.
- Calculate your ancestral ethnicity or nationality by adding them up for the 16 – 6.25% for each (obviously, this is approximate).
- If you don’t know all 16 of your great-great-grandparents, then do it for the last full generation you have.
- Write your own blog post, or make a comment on Facebook or in this post.
I am a bit late to this challenge because I was on holiday. My gg-parents are listed below. They are all Dutch – I need to go back a few generations more to find other nationalities. So that adds up to 100% Dutch for me.

- Gijsbert WIESENEKKER was born on 7 Aug 1855 in Huizen. He died on 11 Mar 1924 in Bussum. He married Willempje PRINS on 4 Feb 1877 in Huizen.
- Willempje PRINS was born on 26 Sep 1856 in Huizen. She died on 9 Dec 1942 in Bussum.
- Jakob MELESSEN was born on 29 Jan 1848 in Leek. He died on 11 Jan 1918 in Groningen. He married Attje BANSEMA on 11 May 1877 in Grootegast.
