October
It’s October, so it’s autumn (fall, if you prefer). After an unusually warm September month, the trees are still surprisingly green. But of course autumn is still visible around us, almost everywhere we look. Last week I strolled through a nearby forest to enjoy the colors of fall, and made these photos for you. Enjoy!

Fungus
Summer is only halfway, but the first signs of the approaching fall season are already visible. I took my son outside for a forest hike, and while he was collecting fresh acorns, I took out my pocket camera and tried to get a good shot of this little toadstool.

Tree trunk
If you stumble upon an old, cut off tree trunk in a Dutch forest in October, you are almost guaranteed to see an assortment of beautiful fungi. Just look at these photos!
