The St. Vitus church in Hilversum is a catholic church. It was built in 1891-1892, to replace a late-18th church that had become too small. The original plans were for a church without tower (the tower was too expensive), but disappointed catholics managed to collect the necessary amount and the tower was added to the plans.
The church was near my grandparents’ house, and we had a nice view on the church from their house. In 2006 I visited the church and the tower, and I ascertained I could also view my grandparents’ house from the tower. See my photos on flickr.
