On Saturdays I rummage through my old cabinet, pull out and dust off an item, and present it here on Roots. Today: A photo of the house my grandfather was born.

A photo of the house in which my grandfather Hendrik van Kampen was born (in 1912), with his father‘s bicycle repair shop. The boy was an errand-boy employed by my great-grandfather, I don’t know his name.
The photo was taken before 1915, when the family and the bicycle repair shop moved to a different location.
The building seems to have disappeared, at least I can’t find it on Google maps.
