Marriage of Matthias van der Hoogt and Marijtje Molenaar, marriage book of Hazerswoude

This page, from the marriage book of the Dutch Reformed Church of Hazerswoude, has the marriage of my 5th great-grandparents, Matthias (or Mattheus) van der Hoogt and Marijtje (or Maria) Molenaar. Apparently they married on 22 June 1760 in Hazerswoude, with banns on 8 June. Mathias came from Nieuwenhoorn, but lived in Zoeterwoude, parish of Leiderdorp. Marijtje came from and lived in Hazerswoude. The annotations J.M. (Jonge Man, young man) and J.D. (Jonge Dochter, young daughter) mean that it was their first marriage. The “pro deo” in the last line means that because of their financial position they did not have to pay a registration fee for their marriage banns.

  1. Dank voor deze publicatie. Nu weet ik dat zijn moeder, Pietertje Mattheusse Hoek (een zus en dochter van voorouders van mij) vanuit Westmaas is verhuisd naar Voorne en Putten.
