Grave monument, St Barbara Cemetery, Utrecht

The topic of the June edition of the Graveyard Rabbits carnival is The Interesting, The Odd, The Beautiful: “How odd can they be? Come on Rabbits, show us“.

If you follow this blog, you have already seen a couple of odd, interesting, and beautiful grave markers, like the stone on the grave of Gerrit Patist, the gypsy graves, or the glass sculpture I posted last month. You can see all the grave markers that featured on this blog – odd or not – on my Graveyard Rabbit flickr album.

Today I show you a couple of odd grave markers, from several cemeteries in Utrecht and Het Gooi, that I took since I joined the Graveyard Rabbits in the autumn of 2008. These include glass markers, remarkable head stones, and colourful sculptures. These markers are certainly odd and interesting, and some of them even beautiful. Click images to enlarge.
