Marriage of Gerrit Kloppenburg and Lammertje Bollebakker
The court marriage of Gerrit Kloppenburg and Lammertje Bollebakker, my 5th great-grandparents. Gerrit was a widower (of Hilletje Bon, and before that of Marretje Ruijter), Lammertje was still unmarried. They married on 25 November 1785 in Hilversum.
Gerrit and Lammertje had eight children: Christina (or Stijntje, 1786), Jan (my 4th great-grandfather, 1787), Gerrit (1789), Jacob (1796), Jacob (1797), Jacob (1798), Barend (1800), and Gerbert (1804). Note the three Jacobs in a row: The first three probably died young, and it was common practice in Holland to recycle names of deceased children.
