Museumplein (Museum Square) is the museum quarter of Amsterdam. The square is surrounded by three major museums: The Rijksmuseum (the largest museum of the country), the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum (Municipal Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art). And as a bonus, the Concertgebouw (Concert Hall) is also here.

The Museumplein is a large square with views on the three museums, the concert hall, and the historic houses on the Van Baerle Street. When I was there (in January) there was also a temporary skating rink, right in front of the Rijksmuseum.
