Among the family papers in my possession is an album with postcards of Dutch churches, collected by my grandfather. Most of the cards are from the 1930s. On Sundays, I post cards from this collection in the series Church Sunday. Today: The Zuiderkerk in Enkhuizen.
The Zuiderkerk, also known as the St. Pancras Church, was built in the 15th century in Enkhuizen. The church tower was completed in 1524. Unlike the Westerkerk that we saw before, the Zuiderkerk is still in use as a church, by the Dutch protestant church.
