On Photo Friday today: Four still-lifes of Filipino food. Top to bottom:
- Lechon, or roasted suckling pig. Lechon is served like this, in one piece, on a special platter. It is (usually) only served on parties, and a party is not really complete without it.
- A display of the catch of the day in a Visayan restaurant. Choose your fish and it will be cooked to order.
- Seaweed with a lemon dish. Served in a restaurant somewhere in the Visayas.
- Binagol, a sweet Visayan delicacy made of taro. It is sold wrapped in banana leaves.
